Sam Rappold

I create video content for the YouTube channel maintained by education website NuSkool.com. The channel and the site aim to give educational information to students by discussing relevant pop-culture topics. I am responsible for researching video topics, writing dialog to be read by a voice-over artist, choosing music and visuals and editing the above material into complete episodes.

I worked on this production as an Associate Producer, Videographer and Editor. I worked on the pre-production, helping to find the businesses that would be featured in the show and writing the questions for the on-camera host to ask interviewees. During the production, I was responsible for composing shots and operating one of three cameras on set. During post production, I worked with the raw footage to assemble it into complete narratives, in accordance with network guidelines.

Conduct shoots on location and edit resulting footage into videos ranging from corporate to tv and web commercials to instructional videos. Clients I worked for included ADP, Hooters, the Kansas City Royals, Hillel, Karako Suits and Jewish National Fund.

Design graphics and edit footage for each episode of the series on a weekly basis.

Working as a one-man crew, direct, record and edit promotional videos for small businesses ranging from plumbing services to yoga studios to political candidates. All videos completed within 48 hours.

Develop ideas and concepts for new reality shows. Pre-production on sizzle reels. Conduct research and make logistical arrangements to facilitate video productions.
