As a Desk Assistant I am responsible for retrieving and labeling sound, transcribing copy, and updating scorecards for the anchors, as well as editing and dispatching weather reports for air. During the overnight shifts, I prepare automation by pulling, editing, and dispatching the evening show into the computer system. Additionally, I answer phones and handle listener complaints and breaking news tips.
