Shriyantha Wimalasekera

I am an on call dedicated cinematographer where I shoot constructed demo scenes for clients looking to update or add more to their acting reel. A team of writers write the scene, then I am then called in to act as Director of Photography for each scene.

A documentary about the carnival midway at Burning Man 2015, I was responsible for shooting all the interviews as well as staged scenes of our character going through specific midway installations. Additionally I was responsible for running audio and collecting B-Roll.

My main responsibilities were to assist B-Camera operator, Randy Baker, with the operation of the Sony fs700 and GoPro Hero 4. Tasks included prepping cameras for boat travel and supporting the operator while at Wekiva Island.

Responsibilites included creating a shot design that best exemplified performer Frank Li's prowess with fire swords and dragon staff. Other duties included editing and color correcting.

My main responsibilities on set were to assist the Producer, Vincent Palomino, with various tasks on set as well as work with art department and grip and electric on setting up lights and building set pieces.

As a camera operator, I had to get b-roll of everything each short documentary would cover including the Souk project, Kids at Burning Man, and volunteerism. Also I assisted with the shooting of interviews of people in the Souk project.

Responsibilities included setting up lighting plot as well as operating the RED One camera.

A behind the scenes video for photographer Von Wong highlighting everything that went into his impromptu photo shoot in Central Florida. My job was to be there from the start of pre-production and shoot till the very end of the project.
