- Job Requirements: Must be local to location (or willing to work as a local).
Seeking Experienced Assistant Editors with a solid Avid skill set.
AfterEffects/Graphics experience not a requirement but a definite plus.
SEEKING
- 1 Experienced AE
- 1 Senior AE (Ready to Step up to Jr. Editor but still with a Strong Technical Skillset and willing to do AE work)
Exceptional attention to detail. Experience prepping shows for online a must for both positions.
The right candidates have done extensive work ingesting field footage, handling/ingesting/archiving acquired media and can get the best out of mixed frame rate footage, international/PAL formats and varying aspect ratios. There will be some sync’ing and grouping for this job, though that’s not the bigger part of media prep.
Senior AE candidate must to all of the above plus be able to cut with and without script and do other edit level work on deadline.
We currently expect to start the Senior AE around June 26 and the Experienced AE starts a few weeks thereafter (exact date TBA). Jobs run until around the end of October. For the most part, these shifts will be regular days, though there may be a few later start/later finish days on the schedule for each position. That will not be the norm. A few weekend days are also likely, but again, they will be limited.
This will be a short, intense period of work, great for the right people and there is the possibility of additional work on other projects in the future (no promises, but I'd love to fill out our roster of go-to post staff).
If you’re right out of school, don't yet have any professional credits or if Avid is still a bit of a mystery, then we can't consider you for this position. Schedule is too tight for extensive training. We need someone who can dive in and take control of their responsibilities once they have been walked through systems, etc. While this is a new series, we have established post systems and did a pilot with a model that we will follow on the show.
Job is located in the Financial District.
