We are seeking a Post Production Technical & Creative Assistant. The candidate must be highly technical with knowledge of digital tools. We work with Avid Media Composer so we need someone with basic knowledge on how Avid works. The role requires someone flexible who can evolve with the project as the project expands during post development. The ideal candidate will also be creative with a strong desire to learn and grow.

This part-time position starts in early June and runs through approximately 6 months with the possibility of extension. Must be based in NYC and able to work in person. Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications
-Must be proficient in Google Suite, Asana, Video Editing Software

-Avid Media Composer experience a plus but not required
-Position is in person at our Brooklyn office, 3 to 5 days a week
-Strong computer skills

Responsibilities include

-Filtering footage for translation, exporting, tracking what is sent to the translation team, managing a shared translation calendar.
-Avid Project Management: creating media folders / bins
-Backing up Media: Moving data between hard drives and cloud back ups, etc.
-Manage the Media Manager log of the breakdown of all media
-Manage the project scene log. Add tag words or update with new shoot days. Breakdown and log scenes.
-Help locate and log specific scenes, shots, characters and moments in the footage.
-Add tags to the log, get scenes on and off my miro white board, print scene boards, change naming conventions,
print the scenes, locate footage, etc.
-Work with the director and editors to locate footage, create B-roll sequences and gather footage on specific topics
inside the Avid Project
-Sit in on meetings with director and editors, track story beats and arcs and help coordinate everyone around a miro
board.
-Purchase and install software, manage software licenses, troubleshoot basic technical problems
-Maintaining social media pages
-Run office errands
-Additional office duties as required: purchasing office supplies, office craft, booking cleaning services, etc.
