Established Discovery channel documentary series seeks Night Assistant Editors to support the overall edit workflow in Avid. Must be willing to commit to working night shifts from approximately 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The AE's responsibilities will be far ranging, and will change as we progress through the different stages of post.

Being highly organized, motivated and self-sufficient are key in this role.

Main responsibilities will include:

· Transcode, group and multigroup footage
· Organize b-roll into specific categories
· ScriptSync interviews
· Transcribe interviews when necessary
· Pull footage for editors
· Upload cuts to network
· Create blurs and insert lower thirds

PLEASE NOTE: this position is office-based in ROCKLAND COUNTY (Pearl River, 45 min. or more by car from NYC) and will require a somewhat atypical commute. Please do not respond if you are not able to commit to traveling to this location.
