- Job Requirements: Must be local to location (or willing to work as a local).
We are looking to hire a part-time, in-house, freelance Cinematographer on a production needed basis. We shoot a myriad of projects, but our main clientele have been actors looking to build on their portfolio with scenes for their reels. These scenes are typically one to two minutes in length and take up to three hours to shoot, per scene. It is very important to us that we maintain a creative and cinematic style to our pieces. We don't want your average "establishing shot, OTS, OTS" coverage. Quality product is what brings our clients in, and even back for more.
This is also a great opportunity for a DP who is looking to build on their own reel.
The position requires the Cinematographer to read the scripts, location scout with our director, collaborate on creating the shot list, reserve any necessary grip/lighting equipment, and understand technical aspects such as camera, lenses, and lighting aesthetic. We use the Canon C100 Mark II, and occasionally the RED Scarlet W. Its typically a small crew, so wearing multiple hats, and working with a minimalist attitude is essential.
Please submit your experience with your day rate and tell us some DP's that inspire you. We will not consider applicants without a reel. We will review submissions and reach out to schedule an interview in the coming weeks for the strong contenders.
