Content Operations is ultimately responsible for successfully delivering *** 's entertainment and sports content to millions of people every day! This involves developing, operating, and managing a global content supply chain - the myriad of steps involved from taking a finalized TV show/movie, or live piece of content, from inside *** to audiences around the globe, in their preferred language and format. This team also handles technology operations in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Job Summary:Seated within the Content Platforms & Operations division of *** Entertainment & *** Technology (DE&E Tech), this role is responsible for the Data Analytics, Business Intelligence Engineering, and Visualization aspects of crucial operational supply chain data and workflows. This role handles executive-level metrics and reports, leading the DOMO product, spearheading BI Engineering endeavors to support Distribution Operations (DO), leading all aspects of Global DO Rate Card Management, developing tools for operational financial management, and conducting ad hoc business analytics with data.
A pivotal aspect involves guiding the strategic direction and implementation of data programs, collaborating with executive partners and operational teams. This requires a keen understanding of intricate processes and technical requirements, while keeping the focus on achieving executive-level objectives. Additionally, this role handles diverse financial and operations teams, alongside technical solutions.
The primary goal of this role is to provide im *** te insights into the Content Distribution landscape within *** Entertainment & *** (DE&E) Technology. Emphasizing the utilization of data visualization and modeling, the aim is to facilitate informed decision-making, unearth insights, and pinpoint opportunities for improvement, encompassing operational performance metrics such as cost management, volume/growth, performance, status, and quality data.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:Business Intelligence Engineering- Lead a team of BI engineers to support metrics tracking and data insights
- Nurture relationships with key collaborators, including operational teams, quality management teams, finance, and executives, to devise and lead all aspects of the implementation of business intelligence solutions
- Ensure the governance and security of DOMO by instituting standard practices, processes, and a support framework to improve the tool's value for operational and technical teams across CP&O
- Identify, socialize and deliver new opportunities to drive automation through data solutions
- Aggregate, configure, and visualize extensive datasets across enterprise supply chain systems and offline tools to aid technology, operations, and business teams to make quick-turn business decisions
- Design data architecture and develop rapid solutions that can serve as proofs of concept (POCs) for future enterprise solutions
- Apply expertise in data engineering, including ETL processes and MySQL databases, to work with large, sophisticated data structures
Rate Card Management and EFC Tool Product Management- Define requirements and coordinate the development of technical solutions, data models, ETL processes, and visualization tools to facilitate global management and access to rate cards
- Define and ensure compliance with rate card security, gate access and deliver training on solutions to ensure requirements are met for core financial management products
- Ensure alignment across global teams on rate card development and implementation
- Define processes and SLAs for global change management of rate cards and title financial management tools
- Handle system administrators and enhancement requests to EFC tool, ensuring data and process consistency globally
- Partner with finance, sourcing, operational leadership, and vendors to ensure clear communications and the establishment of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Executive Metrics and Reports- Define strategy and critical metrics across the Content Platforms and Operations teams to enable the operationalization of ongoing collection, normalization, visualization & modeling across business data and metrics (volume/ growth, uptime, quality, etc.)
- Identify trends, disparities, and potential risks, and orchestrate initiatives to improve performance tracking across multi-functional teams
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:Minimum- 10+ years of relevant working experience across Data Science, *** & Entertainment and Technology, Finance or a consulting role
- 3+ years of experience managing people
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field of study or equivalent experience
- Experience in working in a matrix environment and leading multiple collaborators, and possess leadership presence/gravitas
- Perform and deliver large-scale, consistently trustable, precise and actionable quantitative and qualitative analyses
- Ability to clearly communicate technical content to diverse non-technical audiences and partner with people from different parts of the company to ensure solutions drive tangible business impact
- Strong data visualization and modeling skills and experience with Business Intelligence systems
- Coding experience in R, Python and SQL
- Excellent analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to share a vision and convince others to embrace and embed in their organizations
- Self-motivated, high-energy, demonstrated tenacity
- Experience documenting and re-engineering processes

Preferred- MBA or Master's Degree preferred
- 1+ year Product Management experience
- Familiar with scrum, agile, and six sigma methodologies
- 1+ year Management consulting experience
- Ability to lead transformation and change initiatives from idea through outcome
- Strong financial literacy
- Experience or education related to the *** Distribution pipeline
- Analytics experience for Engineering and Technology Product organizations
- Strategy and planning; ability to synthesize and articulate ambiguous concepts effectively
- Negotiation and issue resolution capabilities
The hiring range for this position in California is $149,300 - $200,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
