JOB DESCRIPTION
*** News *** is looking for an experienced Executive Producer responsible for overseeing content for a one-hour news program. You will work hand-in-hand with the hosts, the show team, and management to facilitate a successful production.

We are looking for a self-starter to lead the launch of a multi-vertical news program. The ideal candidate will have experience creating new programming - from building a team from the ground up to creating rundowns and graphics to designing a set. This is a multi-vertical launch across video, audio, and digital platforms. You must have the ability to manage the daily workflow for each of the platforms.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the editorial point person from initial story development through the live control room broadcast
Frame compelling storylines and determine the best sound and elements for each segment
Copy edit scripts throughout the broadcast
Work directly with the hosts and all production staff on show content
Evaluate potential guest segments
Manage and mentor staff and monitor their development
Conduct annual performance reviews
Oversee staff calendar/backup roles

This critical team member will help take our story-telling to the next level while leading the day-to-day production of editorial content across 10 Tampa Bay's multiple platforms. In addition on focusing on the newscast, this Executive Producer will focus on coaching the reporters and multiskilled journalists on staff. Through careful coaching, this role elevates their storytelling, writing, crafting, and execution daily - to lift the entire 10 Tampa Bay platforms higher.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate to execute long-term newsroom strategy
