A nationally syndicated court television show currently in its 18th season is looking for interns in Chicago. Judge Mathis interns assist in the production of the show in a variety of ways and are a necessary component to what we do. We are looking for hard-working, organized and highly motivated individuals who are seeking a career in the television industry. We are looking for a part time commitment with FLEXIBLE hours--generally 12 hours a week from NOW through the end of November. No weekend or night shifts available. -Assist producers, associate producers and production assistants with various office tasks
-Assist in all aspects of production.

What You'll Do

The Director of Live Services on the Internal Games team will be responsible for identifying, establishing, and running all central game product management processes related to launching, operating, and optimizing live ser *** games for our internal game *** . What You Will Do

Full Time

Researching and compiling feature ideas from social *** , articles, etc.
Gather elements for features including: Footage (game records, melts, specialty ENG/Film from *** or School Video Groups, and other archival records) photos from schools or Getty, announcer calls from games and radio from *** Archive, and Music
Collaborating with feature producers on rough cuts and story structure
Organizing, communicating and distributing completed features, vignettes, etc. for use on other shows, *** networks and platforms
Observing and assisting on field shoots with feature producers, especially local shoots at schools in driving distance of Charlotte
Producing vignettes (short, high-end feature content) for air on college networks
Logging All Access footage and sound for All Access shows
Attending various event opportunities relative to understanding the overall company and observing departments outside of Production

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience in sports *** , preferably in television production, or involvement with collegiate TV station
Elite knowledge of sports, including current athletes, rules and events
Familiarity with server-based *** and/or non-linear editing equipment including but not limited to Final Cut Pro and Quantel
High level of familiarity with *** programming, platforms, studio shows and original programs (Documentaries, All Access, Films, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Historical knowledge of US sports
Experience with editing, screening, logging and/or archiving video
Familiarity with the sports *** landscape, including knowledge of business trends and technologies
Demonstrated leadership experience in a professional role, organization or activity

Education

Journalism, Broadcast, *** or related majors

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a *** College Program or *** Professional Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a *** internship or program

Additional Information

Program Dates: The program dates areAugust through December 2024. Interns will work 40 hours per week throughout the internship and must be fully available.

Work Environment: This is an onsite internship based in Charlotte, NC. A limited amount of housing assistance may be provided for those who qualify.
