Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Job Description

This is a part-time project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 6 - 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

As a Digitization Production Assistant, you will handle day-to-day and long-term asset management support for the operations team working in a shared storage environment. You will help manage what production material is stored and/or archived, while also working with various production teams to fulfill footage requests.

Responsibilities:

• Helpthe *** Sports Group with digitizing the videotape, disc and film archive
• Organize and enter metadata for videotapes, discs and film reels in the *** Sports Group's physical *** tracking system
• Review all physical libraries to determine which assets should be digitized
• Prepare tapes to be sent out of house to be digitized
• Assist with the editing of metadata and trimming for new digital files
• Track physical *** shipments coming back to the *** Sports Group facility and prepare them to be sent out for long-term storage
• Support all of *** 's production teams with footage searches, restores, EDLs, and screeners
• Ensure operationally that LTO/ODA assets are being updated as they move throughout the building as they're critical to our operations

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• BS/BA degree in a relevant TV Production or related field; orequivalent work experience
• Minimum one (1+) yearof familiarity with use of Avid non-linear editing software and Avid Interplay *** asset management softwareor similar NLE
• Minimum one (1+) yearexperience supporting Windows operating environment
• Minimum one (1+) yearof prior studio/remote sports production experience
• Posses a level of sports knowledge

Desired Characteristics:

• Highly motivated and determined individual who can work well independently; self starter
• Prior sports experience and/or prior experience working on large sporting events as a *** coordinator or logger are a plus

Perform all duties associated with operating the teleprompter, cameras, studio graphics and audio mixer for broadcast. • Ensure studio is prepared and set-ups are complete; assign and set-up mics for on-air talent and conduct mic checks; coordinate studio position/placement for live shows; operate tele-prompter and cameras during live and taped shows
• Operate of various technical equipment including, but not limited to, graphics systems, VizRt and Newsticker. Perform audio mixing, coordinate satellite feeds and monitor usage/charging systems
