This is a permanent full-time role based in SYDNEY and is required to be mostly in the office.

Enough about us! What you'll do as a Production Assistant:

As the Assistant to Executive Production, you will be responsible for managing the time of the Executive Producers and liaising with key Production companies to ensure effective coordination and delivery of our productions. This is a fast paced and pivotal role within the team and requires a highly intuitive, organised and flexible person who is motivated and capable of thinking on their feet whilst ensuring things run smoothly within the department.

Functions will include:

• Coordinating the delivery of programs: liaising with Production Company, managing and distributing scripts, schedules and relevant materials in pre-production, ingesting footage, organising tech checks and updating the TX Schedules.
• Personal Assistant to the EPs: answering phones and emails, extensive diary management including but not limited to; scheduling meetings, set visits, organising screenings, in-house guest greeting, booking travel, collating & reconciling expenses, monitoring delivery schedules across multiple productions.
• Supporting EPs through conducting research and gathering relevant materials on multiple projects and proposals upon request with absolute professionalism and confidence
• General Production Assistant tasks and team admin support as required

Successful candidate will perform traditional production assistant duties ( audio, studio camera, Directing and teleprompter) as well as newsroom duties including editing and using a camera to capture footage that helps tell a story. This is an exciting position with great potential for upward mobility. Flexible schedule required. College Degree and/or relevant experience preferred. Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

- Operate studio cameras for live and recorded programming
- Assist department in studio management, lighting, and equipment maintenance
- Operate audio console for live and recorded programming
- Direct newscasts for live and recorded broadcasts

**** YOU'LL DO:

• Assist with technical operations in the studio including operating teleprompter.
• Assist and manage floor and studio production setup
• Assist with studio camera operations
• Assist with operating on-screen and studio graphics as needed
• Work with studio directors to minimize last minute complications
• Prepare camera equipment for air, route external outputs as required and anticipate control room needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred
• 2 years previous newsroom experience preferred

**** YOU'LL BRING:

• Strong Verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, storytelling abilities and news judgment.
• Possess strong fundamental understanding of video and audio production equipment capabilities.
• Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws.
