In this role, you will provide photography for Weddings, Conventions, and Events across The *** World Resort property. Photographers must have a basic knowledge of digital photography equipment, flash units, Photoshop, and Lightroom.

You will report to the Photography Manager for DFAP.

What You Will Do

Setup and photograph on-location studio sessions
Lead all aspects of "print on-site" sessions
Photograph large group photos of up to 300 people and process for editing final group and individual images
Arrange photography risers and select appropriate locations
Handle a green screen shoot, matte in a background, along with a virtual background shoot
Photograph character interactions
Work with Senior Photographers to build a rounded view during events
Photograph large weddings as a Second Shooter
Provide creative, unique, and outstanding images
Photograph small weddings individually as the main contact
Shoot portrait sessions
Photograph product and promotional images in a studio setting

Required Qualifications & Skills

Skilled in photography production in a business environment
Experience with Nikon cameras, Professional lighting equipment, and Mac Computers.
An understanding of how to light for a larger photo, e.g., 500 people, and individual or small group posing
Decide when and how to use a second light unit as a fill flash or essential light
Knowledge of Photoshop/Lightroom software, composition, and exposure Triangle.
Experience with photography, weddings, or conventions
Schedule availability to include weekends, variable shifts, and holidays

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Candidates should have a strong dedication to visual storytelling with excellent photography and editing skills and assist our Multi- *** Journalists during live shots and on assignments as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Photojournalists applying for this position must have non-linear editing experience, knowledge of file-based video transfer, and experience as a News Photographer and Editor
Must have the ability to operate live bonded cellular transmit units, communicate effectively, work well under pressure, have a keen knowledge of situational safety, and meet deadlines.
Must have at least 5+ years of experience in a medium to large television market.

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates will be accountable for maintaining assigned equipment, including news vehicles, cameras, lights, laptop editors, and peripheral gear, initiating repairs when necessary.
Must be physically able to carry, shoulder, and shoot with a broadcast ENG camera (25 lbs. or more), as well as carry support equipment (tripod, lights, microphones, etc.)
This position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement with IATSE.
Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent writing skills are a requirement! You have a strong curiosity about public relations; one to two years of related experience (PR assistant or agency experience preferred); outstanding organizational skills, strong communication skills; and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong breaking news skills
Ability to incorporate social *** and new technology into all the newscasts.
Bachelor's or technical degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or allied field preferred.
Drone Pilot license a plus.
