Job Description

The Digital Network Operations Center (DNOC) is *** Universal's first 24/7 digital operation predicated on delivering holistic OTT content distribution, proactive monitoring, and issue resolution across the entire portfolio of VOD and Live streaming ecosystems.

TheDigital Operations Coordinator(L1) is tasked with executing the daily monitoring of Digital NOC processes to ensure the proper distribution of all *** Universal/ *** digital and linear properties. The Coordinator requires a strong working knowledge of all functions within the operation and monitors system health through a combination of "eyes on glass" and alert base monitoring. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to IRD management, real-time platform validation, issue investigation, and de *** management. • Partner with Engineering teams to manage terrestrial and cloud distribution architectures
• The coordinator will be responsible for assisting the team in managing this full portfolio of hardware, troubleshooting, onboarding, and replacing this hardware as required.
• The coordinator will play a key role in helping complete critical migrations for distribution and/or upgrading in field devices.
• Monitor the end-to-end distribution of *** Universal's digital library across a diverse portfolio of products, platforms, and partnerships
• Validate the set standards of reliability throughout the digital environment by properly overseeing all designated workflows and adhering to established performance thresholds
• Aid in escalation, reporting, and resolution communications across the digital footprint and larger organization
• Execute de *** and platform endpoint checks to ensure LIVE/VOD availability and playability
• Develop workflow expertise and communicate knowledge throughout the operation
• Collaborate with Technical Operation peers on delivery assurance to internal and external clients
• Unite with the internal Leadership team to develop technological and operational enhancements

Qualifications

Requirements

• High school diploma and relevant certification or associate degree in *** or Communications or equivalent relevant professional experience
• Minimum 1+ years industry, database, or related analytic experience is required
• Minimum 1+ years Network Operations, Digital Operation, or *** Operations facility experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related *** experience
• Prior experience in an IRD support role strongly preferred
• Prior experience using JIRA and Ser *** Now ticketing systems strongly preferred

We are seeking an experienced Sr Coordinator or Production Manager to help manage both internal and third party productions, inclusive of a wide range of LIVE programming such as large tent pole variety events, award shows, comedy formats, sports, unscripted, and more. This role will serve from a network touch point ensuring our external producing partners are effectively onboarded, supported, and assessed. Responsibilities include supporting the Production and Post Production leads, establishing and curating vendor & staff/crew relations, managing document distribution & communication flow, liaising with internal cross-functional teams, and supporting/suggesting best practices from pre production through delivery while working with production companies. This position will report to a Director of Live Production in Los Angeles, CA. Together, the *** Live team is responsible for supervising all aspects of production and post production with our global original LIVE programming and based in Los Angeles.

The Role

A successful candidate will be passionate and knowledgeable about production planning, post production management, and logistics and must have LIVE production experience. They will be self-motivated, flexible, thorough, and capable of juggling multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization, communication, and unwavering attention to detail at all times. A priority to learn is key, as the LIVE slate is ever changing and requires the education of new technologies and practices within production and post production.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support the production and post partners through various processes during the setup and execution of the project such as guidance on binding insurance, disseminating information to the studio, and uploading deliverable materials
• Liaise with the production company & post production vendors to ensure they are on-boarded and trained to lean on our various tools and *** workflows (e.g tools for cut reviews, delivery of AV deliverables)
• Audit completion/delivery of production and post production materials during pre, production, and wrap
• Gather, track and enter various production and post production related data among multiple platforms
• Build agendas, participate in or lead production kick-offs and ongoing production/post production meetings for all LIVE productions
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Publicity, Photo/AV Studio, Safety, Sustainability, and Events regarding on-location activities taking place during a LIVE broadcast
• Collaborate effectively with internal operations & technical teams as well as other production associate managers to streamline workflows across all apps and content teams
• Assist with identification and curation of experienced, high quality production staff and crew
• Participate in *** a testing proprietary apps while offering constructive feedback about the end user experience
• Any other duties as necessary to support the productions and the LIVE department

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience working in production management, in the field, at a network, or production company, and must have LIVE production experience. Candidates will need to be a Sr Production Coordinator or Production Manager level equivalent outside of *** , ideally with some post production management experience as well.
• Ability to handle a fast paced environment and a high volume of projects (from evaluation to production through delivery) and courage to take educated risks while thinking outside the box while always responding in a timely manner
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Mail and Drive) as well as Slack.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000 - $245,000.

DUTIES:

• Administer weekly Production Dept. staff and facilities scheduling. Includes scheduling IATSE Stagecraft, Director, AD and Material Management staff. Update schedules daily as required and digitally generate and post via Microsoft Teams.

• Administer production staff scheduling on Special Event productions including Rose Parade, Oscars, Emmys, CCA, LA Marathon, WeHo Pride Parade, Telethons and more.

• Special Events production archives. Document and organize digital video assets for Rose Parade, Oscars, CCA, Emmys, LA Marathon, WeHo Pride Parade, and other Special Event productions.

• Production studio operations and office supplies inventory. Track inventory and order studio production operations and maintenance supplies monthly. Manage shipping and receiving logistics.

• Supervise all aspects of daily Makeup services and operations. Supervise News anchor makeup services schedule. Monitor News anchor cosmetics inventory, and generate weekly orders and deliveries as required.

• Provide daily administrative support as required to the Production Manager and Director of Production.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in film, television, communications, marketing, management, or related field
• Must have experience in live television, scheduling, production, or related field, preferably Production Coordinator experience.
• Internship experience at television stations or production companies are an asset.
• Must be extremely proficient in administrative tasks and on a PC - Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and OneDrive are musts.

We are looking for a dynamic candidate with music production or in-house studio experience to act as a Music Production Coordinator for our live-action and anime productions in Japan. This role will be reporting to the Manager, Music Production - Japan and will partner with them to provide support on the implementation of cross-functional music production solutions that will support our productions and overall slate growth across *** -branded Japanese live-action and anime titles.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and break down incoming scripts for music needs, flagging upcoming visual vocals/on cameras, and potential licensing issues (challenging song approvals, grand rights, etc.)
• Liaise with Composer agents//music producers during the personnel hiring process, ensuring key dates, project information, and watermarked materials are distributed. Help field project inquiries as needed
• Distribute onboarding materials to partners, music supervisors and composers

Experience & Skills

• Experience: 5 years either as a music director, producer, or supervisor at a studio. Has in-territory experience in music production ideally for live-action features, series and anime.
• This role will have deep creative relationships with labels, publishers, managers, agents, composers, music supervisors, etc. as well as an internal content team and have a vast understanding of music supervision or worked in-house at a studio as a music producer.
• This role will be a liasion *** ween internal cross-functional teams and external partners, and be responsible for ensuring the internal cross-functional teams understand the music production workflow.
• Collaborate with the external music director, producer, or supervisor to oversee and manage the music production objectives/workflow for the project.

• Work with music editor and post supervisor during temp dub to make sure music is ready for preview/test screening.

• Act as the station gatekeeper for formatting, traffic and inventory matters to the Traffic Operations Hub and Master Control

• Maintains program logging and other operational procedures
• Finalize logs for the Traffic Operation Hub to send to Master Control.
• Assisting in the downloading of commercials in coordination with Production/Master Control Departments.
• Performs clerical functions as needed

Requirements & Skills:
