The Assistant Chief Engineer is a support role to the Chief Engineer. They help facilitate the day-to-day operations of the Broadcast Engineering Department as well as oversee the maintenance of all broadcast technology, station equipment and transmitter sites. Some key responsibilities include:

• Assist in managing all aspects of the Broadcast Engineering Department
• Help maintain all broadcast technology and equipment for the station and transmitter sites.
• Ensure station compliance with rules and regulations applicable to FCC, local, state, and federal laws.
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer to implement innovative technologies and technical infrastructure for the station.
• Assist with managing engineering and technology capital projects to the established budgets.
• Manage and coordinate fiber connectivity, production setups, A/V routing and patching, audio equipment, graphics systems and editing systems.
• Evaluate, select, install, service, and maintain station equipment and information technology systems.
• Repair and maintain station building infrastructures.
• Assist in maintaining station vehicle fleet, including live satellite trucks.
• Communicate and coordinate equipment maintenance and training with vendors/contractors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:

• Associate Degree in Electronics, Communications or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience preferred.
• Minimum three years' experience in a television broadcast environment
• Strong working knowledge of server and desktop operating systems and hardware preferred.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and Bitcentral software a plus
• Fluent in English; effective communication, both verbal and written
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work extended hours, as needed.

Physical Demand & Work Environment:

The Assistant Chief Engineer must be physically able to stand, sit, reach, climb, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact co-workers, work in close proximity to others, work outdoors in all weather conditions and indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Job Description

SUMMARY

The Manager, Entertainment Events is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of events including *** and launches, character appearances, integrated marketing, internal Team Member events and Marquee projects. The Manager supervises Assistant Managers and Supervisors in the planning and execution of events.

DEPARTMENT ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ensure that the Universal *** Hollywood vision, mission & values, and Guest Ser *** Philosophy & Standards are understood and supported across the organization.

Essential Accountabilities:

• Cultivate and lead a department culture that promotes a professional, collaborative, inspiring, fun and teamwork-driven work setting for all Team Members.
• Oversee the daily operation of a specific event and/or area, including managing staff and process/procedures, and providing necessary direction and/or support for Guests, Team Members and operations. Assign projects and duties to direct reports and communicate ongoing expectations.
• Assist with the creation, implementation and management of an on-going Action Plan to improve and maintain Team Member engagement and satisfaction (TSAT).
• Have knowledge and maintain all show quality across all entertainment events and communicate any concerns or feedback to the appropriate stakeholder(s), including Show Quality Team.
• Oversee and manage labor and non-labor budgets, including reporting variance explanations. Work with senior leadership to adjust budgets (and appropriate tracking documents) based upon operational requirements. Plan and develop operating budget (IOP) and capital expenditures for following fiscal year.
• Oversee the operational efficiency and effectiveness of administration, venue/show, area and/or elements. Resolve any issues as they arise and seek opportunities to improve process and procedures collaborating with stakeholders, Team Members, etc. as appropriate.
• Provide direction, development and support to supervisors, leads and hourly Team Members. Communicate feedback and address any and all performance issues, providing recognition, coaching.
• Works with Entertainment Operations and Entertainment Production on administrative issues.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health and Safety responsibilities by following established USH policy, procedures, training, and employee involvement activities. Includes completion of I&I, housekeeping and/or other safety follow-up documentation as required for department.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with other park department leaders and stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES

Team & Department Strategy:

• Lead the creation of an annual calendar for all projects. Create milestones and documentation for each project using the information from the annual calendar.
• Ensure that team meetings are held once per week to review each project next steps, establish priorities, assignments and deadlines. Create and maintain project tracking tool(s) to communicate steps, priorities and assignments to share with the team and Sr. Manager ongoing.
• Build annual budget for both labor and non-labor needs, and ensure proper budgetary guidelines are followed throughout the year.
• Lead the planning and execution of Team Member interviews for Seasonal Supervisors and other related support positions.
• Partner with Show Quality Team and Entertainment Operation and Production to ensure standards are routinely reviewed and updated. Forge productive collaborations with each team and lead/facilitate through stages of ambiguity. Update Sr. Manager routinely where there are issues with partners.
• Lead an After-Action Review process after each project. Create and maintain tracking of feedback that can be incorporated into future projects. Create post-project report that is shared with department leadership.

Development of Direct Reports and Seasonal Reports:

• Using company performance development tools, administer performance feedback, coaching and annual evaluations for direct reports.
• Ensure that job descriptions for direct reports are updated annually and approved by Sr. Manager. Review updated job description with direct report at their annual evaluation.
• In partnership with Sr. Manager, design plans for Team Members' involvement with each project, ensuring their experience from beginning to end is planned, smoothly executed, and they have the tools they need to effectively deliver consistent results for Guests and other Team Members.

• Lead initial on-boarding and training as well as on-going skills development for all seasonal support staff. Set expectations and leadership standards for all seasonal support staff of assigned event.
• Ensure that tracking and relaying performance feedback, coaching and annual evaluations for seasonal supervisors and/or support personnel is assigned and executed.

Project Planning and Advancing:

• Maintain and review milestone documents for each project. Ensure they are updated weekly.
• Work with partners, colleagues and leadership team, to develop and implement programs to improve Guest and Team Member satisfaction.
• Lead the development, implementation and follow through of various Health & Safety programs.
• Partner with Entertainment Production, Operations and other Park partners to ensure a seamless transition *** ween pre-production phase of project planning and the event operation for Team Members and Guests.
• Partner with Guest Relations, Operational Excellence and Corporate Security to ensure our operating plans are shared before opening each project.
• Maintain up-to-date SOPs and training curriculum for all recurring projects (i.e. HHN, Grinchmas, etc.).

Project Operations:

• Provide direction to various sized teams in the execution of events, ensuring that all operating components are in accordance with department and company standards.
• Supervise the tracking of all Job Performance Logs and provide updates to Sr. Manager regarding trends, suspensions and terminations of Team Members.
• Ensure appropriate and timely investigation and response to any Guest and Team Member concerns by consulting with Director and approved partners. Conduct Team Member investigations and/or disciplinary actions, ensuring they are conducted appropriately and timely, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Oversee labor tracking management (daily/weekly) for all projects and reported weekly to Sr. Manager and Finance. Ensure that all daily payroll-related exceptions and clocking revisions (overtime, meal penalty, errors, re-classing, extenuating circumstances, etc.) are maintained.
• Serve as designated Duty Manager for the Entertainment when required.
• Investigate, track, and provide feedback to leadership and Guest Relations regarding negative guest interactions.
• Implement daily pre-shift meeting template for all projects and ensure direct reports are delivering same format at every pre-shift.

As an Assistant Manager, Costume Design, you will play a vital role in the creation and execution of costumes for various live entertainment productions, such as theater performances, atmosphere characters, animated characters, and events. Collaborating closely with the Manager, Costume Design and production team(s), you will help bring characters and visual concepts to life through your expertise in fabric selection, costume construction, and attention to detail.

As we grow ILM Sydney, we are seeking a Production Coordinator to join the team and be a part of this exciting opportunity.

The Production Coordinator's primary emphasis is on scheduling, communication and coordination for a specific group (discipline) of artists (or multiple groups) on any given project. This position reports to Project ("Show") Producer and Production Manager, while also working with other Coordinators on the project in keeping the show operating in an organized and efficient manner. Coordinators are also responsible for working with and delegating to the project Production Assistants. Each Coordinator usually works closely with their specific group of artists' Supervisor or Lead in crewing, scheduling, and managing that group's body of work. Coordinators are significant points of information on the show and need to be able to balance multiple needs, projects, and tasks at one time.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work closely with your discipline supervisors and/or leads in crewing, casting and scheduling your discipline's body of work, keeping in mind the overall show schedule, client reviews, bids, and other discipline needs.
• Establish a process for communicating discipline targets, assignments, and priorities to your artist crew, as well as the overall show crew. This should be daily and/or weekly.
• Schedule, track, and manage assigned work within the ILM Internal Tracking Tool as well working with Production Managers to display the information in a physical form (magnet boards / conference rooms) in order to be visible to the team.
• Ensure work is on schedule for each department and is meeting internal and external (client) deadlines. Check in with artists on a regular basis regarding workload, targets, needs, etc
• Set up turnovers with discipline crew. Communicate turnover information to all artists assigned to asset(s) or shot(s).
• Track client needs, reviews and deliveries to make sure your discipline hits their targets.
• Serve as key communication liaison *** ween all parties relevant to your work. Provide updates, priorities, reschedules, and status of all shots at any given moment.
• Anticipate and communicate issues to leadership team(s) to reach solutions in a timely manner.
• Supervise, delegate to, and train assigned Production Assistant(s).
• Act as primary point person for organizing dailies/shot reviews throughout the day on behalf of your discipline Supe/Lead. Take notes regarding feedback and decisions made and enter any required information into the Internal Tracking System/communicate to all so as to provide updates to all others impacted.
• Prioritization and escalation of technical support issues.
• Perform special projects as needed.
• Communicates with all parties on the project, from Supervisors to Production leadership and peers, to artists.

Education / Experience

• Three years work experience in production to include strong working knowledge of post production techniques and terminology.

Required Skills / Competencies

• Proficiency in Macs/PCs including Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of UNIX and familiarity with Google Suite is preferred.
• Must possess very strong organizational and communication skills and be able to handle a variety of tasks in an efficient manner while meeting deadlines.
• Attention to detail, follow through and strong communication skills.
