Your New Role...

The Staff Lighting Director designs and executes studio and remote lighting for *** . They will perform the daily responsibilities associated with maintaining the image quality of our studio broadcasts and design lighting configurations for associated new/special programming.

Your Role Accountabilities...

Design, direct, and maintain lighting needs for the *** Newsgroup

Qualifications & Experience...

College degree or equivalent work experience in television, film, or theatre production with a heavy emphasis in lighting.
Demonstrates advanced technical knowledge in the areas of lighting design, console programming, system maintenance, and event rigging.
Ability to work with creative people under stringent time pressures and generate creative visual concepts that enhance the production process.
Ability to work independently, within a team, and take direction from others.
Excellent computer, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
Ability to work flexible hours is essential and some travel is required.

Position Summary

The Lighting TD designs and implements direct and reflected lighting and shadows for assigned shots that meet art and tone direction. Ensures that assigned shots fit the continuity of the sequence. Develops solutions and techniques that meet art/technical direction. Participates in team review of work under development. Compile various elements of a shot and see it through to completion
Demonstrate good listening and communication skills by openly receiving direction and criticism by asking good questions to confirm clear understanding of the directions and how to approach what needs to be done. We are looking for someone to bring forward-thinking production ideas, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to manage quality control at a high level. Responsibilities:

Create, produce, edit and execute exceptional marketing/branding/promotional campaigns that will serve as the foundation in the overall image of the station, from concept to broadcast.
Operating of all portable video (field cameras) and audio equipment.

Create, produce, execute, and attend local marketing events. Weeknights and weekends are required on occasion
Assist local and national sales team meetings to develop and strengthen sponsorship opportunities (NTR) and strategic sales initiatives. Includes pre-production and planning meeting with account sales executives and clients; script writing, professional voice over and selection of music bed

*** News is looking for a creative and dedicated full-time News Photographer with Director of Photography level experience. We are seeking someone extremely proficient in shooting, lighting, and can bring compelling stories to life. Candidates must have exceptional knowledge and experience with Hi-definition, 4K, UHD and HDR photography. Must possess excellent people skills, a strong work ethic, and a positive outlook. A passion for story telling is essential.

Responsibilities:

Shoot day of air, in-depth features, investigative assignments and creative interactive live shots all with the highest ethical, aesthetic and technical standards using the latest technology.
Candidates must demonstrate an ability to direct lighting, set overall visual look, related technical specifications for projects and sound as a one-person crew or as part of a team.
Ensure that all pictures and sound are of highest quality and properly recorded.
Work closely with producers by providing support logistics and shot requirements
Operate ENG vehicles.
Maintain all gear including crew vehicles, working with appropriate departments to keep all gear up to date and in working order.
Able to trouble-shoot quickly and optimally in a variety of circumstances.
Work under tight deadlines, maintaining a high standard of professionalism at all times.
Ability to travel to and operate from the *** Bureau at the Kennedy Space Center to cover various launches and events each year.

Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent experience in broadcast journalism/production preferred.
Minimum 10 years' experience working as an ENG photographer in a large market.
Able to work on multiple camera shoots
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to listen, provide praise and constructive criticism.
In depth knowledge of existing and evolving newsgathering technologies.
Good leadership skills.
Must be self-motivated, proactive, collaborative and possess a high level of creativity to tell stories with sound and images.
Take ownership of situations and lead issues to resolution.
Experience in logistics, special event planning and execution.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license with unrestricted ability to drive a car. Must have a U.S. passport with unrestricted ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Ability to lift 50 plus lbs. of newsgathering equipment.
Must be available to work weekends, long hours or varying shifts when necessary to meet production and broadcast deadlines, 24/7 in all kinds of possible weather conditions.
Travel for production (Hostile environments are possible. Training provided)
In-depth understanding of newsgathering technologies: HD video and Multi-camera Anchor remotes.
Proficient with streaming technologies Dejero and LiveU.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

Shoots video for news and lifestyle reporters, anchors, and hosts
Confers with other personnel to discuss assignments, logistics and shot requirements
Sets up, composes and executes video shots
Maintains video equipment
Edits video clips for television broadcasts and e *** content
Assist Executive Producer and show producer with aspects of overall show production, fill-in producing
Floor direct Lifestyle show
Edits final show for distribution as back up to director/editor
Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills :

Fluently able to speak and write in Spanish
High school diploma; some college coursework or vocational training preferred
Knowledge of studio cameras and jib camera operation preferred
