In this role, the Manager will be in charge of handling specific toy categories with the goal of meeting or exceeding predetermined revenue targets and growth objectives and ensure successful launch of products. The Manager will drive collaboration with cross-functional partners to ensure successful development and implementation of toy category business initiatives.
Overview and Responsibilities:
- Work together with the Director of Toys to formulate category strategies to meet and exceed our long-term brand plans and financial goals.
- Identify, develop, and implement new business initiatives in the assigned categories.
- Analyze, pitch, and negotiate new business deals and seek opportunities for growth across new product categories and retailers.
- Drive all quarterly forecasts and business reviews with licensees. Monitor sales results to ensure revenues meet budgetary goals.
- Serve as primary driver to provide support, information, and materials for licensees to improve development of new products and continued retail expansion of existing products.
- Collaborate with Consumer Product business leaders, Franchise, Press, Global Creative Group, Finance, Operations, International Market Leads, Standards, and Legal to drive the category business strategies across all *** *** franchises.
- Collaborate with Retail Development teams to track performance, address issues and launch strategies. Ensure licensees are up to date on all major retail initiatives and are actively pitching products for all key seasons throughout the year.
- Lead daily communication with Global Creative Group to coordinate all product development achievements, including product approvals and any rush requests.
- Run day to day relationship with licensees including contract management
- Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and competitive landscape to share with wider organization and adapt key toy strategies where needed
- Maintain weekly updates with internal and external partners to track performance, address issues and launch strategies.
Product Development
- Liaison with creative team and partner through product development and approval process.
- Ensure licensees deliver product line suitable for core category & brand values
- Liaise with retail teams to ensure the line delivers against key partner requirements.
- Prepare product presentations for retail development team and internal staff meetings.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2+ years working in licensing/marketing/Consumer Product role
- Robust understanding of *** 's brand position and retail environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills and organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $75,000.00 - 100,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
