Job Summary/Description:
**** is looking for an experienced Executive Producer to guide its award-winning investigative unit. The Executive Producer of Investigations must be detail-oriented and possess strong editorial judgment and an understanding of data journalism to develop meaningful stories that impact people's lives.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Help originate impactful investigative content across all news platforms
- Develop investigative angles to daily stories
- Research issues and obtain government and other public records
- Coordinate assignments of investigative reporters and photographers and manage the investigative calendar
- Manage tips from the tip line and email
- Produce investigative documentaries and podcasts
- Proof story scripts
- Work effectively with senior news management and ****'s Marketing Department and digital team
Qualifications/Requirements:
- At least five years of news experience, including a minimum of three years in investigative journalism with a record of generating investigative content that achieved results
- Proficiency in the use of investigative tools, including public records and data analysis
- Strong writing and script editing ability
- Effective organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team, including with other departments
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field
