JOB SUMMARY: The executive producer is a leader in the newsroom who will supervise the work of others. Role Summary:

E! News digital is hiring a Sr. Digital Video Producer/Editor who will be a part of our growing team of digital video producer/writer/editors on the news video editorial team. The ideal candidate is creative, adaptable, and very fast at writing and creating digital video content. Job duties include producing digital-first entertainment news content for social, video distribution, and mobile optimized platforms. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in entertainment news video production, proven video editing skills, and a clear understanding of the key difference *** ween traditional *** and digital-first content. The candidate will be responsible for writing scripts, reporting and sourcing information, collecting visual assets, and producing and editing digital video under tight news deadlines. Experience as a multi-platform journalist in entertainment news will best suit this role. This role will report to the Senior Producer, News Video.

On-camera talent is not required for this role, but experience behind the camera, working as a reporter/producer on red carpets and the ability to conduct interviews at entertainment-related events is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Create 3+ digital video stories per day, often under tight news-driven deadlines.
  
• Cut short form digital video in under 3 hours from end-to-end: Collecting reporting, writing the script, collecting assets/b-roll, track VO, produce and edit video, and post on social and digital platforms.
  
• Edit with ease in Adobe Premiere, AfterEffects or AVID
  
• Self-assign and create video assignments as needed during busy news times, and self-edit as needed with little supervision. Use metrics-driven thinking to select projects that fulfill the brand's daily video view goals.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

• BA or BS from a four-year accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience producing news digital video content end-to-end for digital platforms
• Excellent expertise with the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects.)
• Knowledge of AVID or similar platforms or willingness to learn fast if you aren't familiar
• Excellent writing skills
• Strong copy editing skills, ability to self-edit your own work
• Must be able to work under extremely tight deadlines
• Must be able to work weekends and later evenings as needed during busy times like award shows
• Social *** -savvy with the ability to post your own stories on social accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube)
• Creative thinker who can look at entertainment trends and find innovative ways to tell a story in a digital video
• Ability to shoot footage on DSLR camera
• Knowledge of Photoshop is a must
• Willingness to be an individual contributor while working within a team environment and contribute to the overall brand's growth and success

Seeking a talented, multifaceted Senior Producer to join Entertainment Weekly's dynamic video team. We are looking for a candidate with a proven ability to create content that resonates with an online audience.

The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller, an innovative self-starter with a passion for the creative process, and has the ability to execute projects successfully and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Must be able to work with the Head of Video to ensure content is on schedule, on budget, and delivered to the requisite level of visual and editorial quality.

The Senior Producer will be responsible for helping to shape and execute the EW video slate by ideating and crafting compelling video content. They should be able to pitch creative ideas in a collaborative environment and see them through from concept to execution. Pay Range
Salary: $84,000 - $105,000

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Working with your supervisors, you'll handle the complete production process. The candidate will be responsible for publishing daily news and breaking news content to the station's website, copy editing staff stories, and managing the look of okc *** .com. This position also manages our significant presence on social *** platforms and is responsible for working closely with newsroom staff to keep our viewers and digital consumers updated on all screens.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Effective & Timely use of Internet, Social Networking and Mobile
• Seek out and post relevant information (words, images and/or video) to station's digital platforms in an accurate and timely manner
• Engage audience through effective use of social *** , (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) for both news gathering purposes and interaction
• Uploading materials (words, stills and/or video) from the field or TV station to those sites when applicable
• Engage and help grow audience through effective use of station's mobile news platform (i.e. sending breaking news, sports or weather alerts to mobile devices)
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Experience:

• Expertise with content management systems, digital metric tools and social management tools required.
• At least two (2) year of previous news producing experience at a commercial TV station
• Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills
• Proficient with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and Newsroom systems such as INews
• Ability to execute news strategies and goals in daily newscasts
• Flexibility on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a must
• Journalism degree preferred.
