FantomWorks (automotive reality build series) followed up to 30 individual car restorations for periods of up to a year. Directed all 7 seasons of FantomWorks filming scenes with up to 4 cameras, and an arsenal of Go Pros. Covered on the fly situations, build developments, including one-time reveals as well as semi-scripted scenes and inserts. Also interviewed. The business owner, the team of car builders and the car owners. As this was the first reality series to film in Norfolk, I taught reality filming techniques and strategies to the very talented crew.

• I interviewed doctors, patients and family members about rare and mysterious life or death conditions that presented suddenly and which changed their lives forever. • Since some patients did not survive despite receiving the best care possible, the show was extremely intense and emotional. • With a thorough understanding of Hippa, I also directed B-roll shoots at hospitals, doctor's offices, research labs, patient homes and the places where symptoms occurred.

I worked in post to organize shot story and character material. I structured multiple episodes and strung out stories in Avid for editors. I also supervised the pick-up shoot process both for footage and soundbites. Series follows six shrimp boats in Louisiana during the disastrous fishing season that followed the Gulf oil spill.

The show rated extremely well, launched a sequel and was chosen as the first premiere offering in the new History brand "Apocalypse Week".

Directed and field produced two episodes of a travel channel series about the finer things in life. Conducted all interviews for the show. Filmed on site B-roll and coverage. Directed talent and models.

Shot pick-ups, B-roll and interviews at NASA and Alaska for the last two episodes of the season. Wrote edit scripts, integrated network notes, created string outs. Supervised edits and delivery of the completed episodes.

After executive turnover, I was asked by Gary Benz to write, produce, and supervise the two final shows. I did this while also seeing a pilot and a documentary (both for History) through post at the same time.

• Cast, wrote, directed and supervised all aspects of the motorcycle road trip pilot History Hogs for History. • Series was not picked up at History, but it lasted 10 seasons on BYUtv as American Rides.

• Researched the surveillance technology and spy craft depicted in Enemy of the State. • Wrote and pitched options and outlines for DVD and Blu-Ray extras & audio commentaries for executives at Disney & Jerry Bruckheimer Productions. • Interviewed filmmakers, including the spy & technology consultants who worked on the film. • Wrote edit scripts for the approved features and documentaries. • Wrote copy for interactive menus, pulldowns, rollovers & marketing documents such as descriptions, loglines and summaries for reviewers.

Created the pitch reel deck and proof of concept scout reel that obtained the greenlight from Discovery for this real-world archaeology/adventure/mystery series. Researched and approved stories and dig sites. Scouted and scripted episodes based in Belize, Mexico and Egypt. Wrote and developed show outlines for Peru (2), Egypt, England, Poland, Greece, Mongolia and Vietnam. Planned and supervised location shoot in Belize.

• Supervising Producer and 2nd unit director for this one hour special about the Son Tay Raid into North Vietnam. • Starred John McCain and John Milius as themselves.

Prepped recreations and dramatic scenes involving VFX, stunts, pyro, period locations and tall ships filmed both at sea and in port. Cast all actors and extras. Was fortunate to hire a fantastic team and crew crew. Production was shot on location in Puerto Rico as well as at San Pedro, Marina Del Rey, and the open ocean over just 8 days for a 100 page script; with three units working together and interchanging scenes and duties.

Supervised research, located experts, wrote outlines and treatment and story guides, prepped and directed all interviews. Wrote the Final Draft shooting script for the specific locations, story points and production parameters that we could afford. Following filming, wrote the edit script and supervised the edit.

• Created, wrote and supervised all aspects of the epic pirate documentary special True Caribbean Pirates for History. • Researched and field produced all interviews. • Directed multicamera recreations and battle scenes involving period weapons, stunts, pyro, historic landmarks, international locations, VFX, tall ships and a cast of up to 50 extras, reenactors and actors. • Solved numerous challenges involving insurance, logistics, safety, travel and schedule. • True Caribbean Pirates was a smash hit, with the premiere rating 3.1 in the US and up to 400% over average around the globe. • The footage we created was reused in the Lost Worlds series. • Behind the scenes feature produced by History is available on request.

• Researched, outlined and pitched stories for the pilot and first episode of Forecast Earth. • Wrote outlines and pitched stories for accompanying online series of digital shorts. • This branded/documentary series was produced in partnership with NOAA and Weather • Wrote edit scripts and supervised edits • Found and negotiated deals to acquire and license riveting weather and disaster footage from stringers, local news, foundations, libraries, the National Archives, NOAA and other networks.

• Filmed interviews and shot B-roll at state of the art weather prediction, observation and emergency facilities around North America. • Locations included the National Hurricane Center, satellite construction and launch facilities, flood locations, coastal erosion sites and research labs. • Obtained archive footage from stringers, local news outlets, the national archives, NOAA and TWC to support what was filmed.

• History Executive Producer Carl Lindahl asked me to rework the Broken Wings. • Analyzed project and wrote interlocking documentary and recreation scripts that solved the problems. • Produced reshoots.

• Researched, pre-interviewed, prepped and interviewed experts, historians and eye-witnesses in the U.S., Japan, and within a B-29 based on Guam on a secret bombing mission. • Obtained interviews in Japan with a bestselling author (in hiding due to death threats) and one of the leaders of an attempted coup-de-etat.
