Oversaw staff of 19 and managed production of CNN Documentary Unit's long-form programming from 2012 to 2014. Headed up launch of CNN’s highly acclaimed Black in America documentary series. Executive producer of Her Name Was Steven, official selection of the San Diego and New Orleans Film Festivals. Awarded two individual News and Documentary Emmy Awards— in 2006 for Charity Hospital, a gripping report by Dr. Sanjay Gupta on the hospital’s efforts to evacuate after Hurricane Katrina; in 2002 for Struggle for Islam, a documentary reported by Christiane Amanpour exploring the roots of Islam in the wake of 9/11, and a 2014 duPont award for Weed, Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s groundbreaking documentary series on medical marijuana. Also received an Edward R. Murrow award and two National Headliner Awards.

Produced profiles and later headed up the staff for People in the News, a weekly hour-long biography show produced with People magazine. Turned program into a ratings winner—consistently the second-highest rated show on CNN in the key 25-54 demographic.
