Jake Rogal

I've worked in all forms of sports production at HBO. I have done extensive work as a live boxing graphics producer for HBO Boxing, but I've also worked as an on-site producer/cinematographer for features within the HBO sports department. I have produced and shot teases and features that have aired on HBO. I've also worked on multiple HBO Sports documentaries: "Legendary Nights: The Tale of Gatti-Ward", "Tapia". I've done a great deal of work on the documentary series “24/7", both in the field and in the edit. In 2011, I received an Emmy Award for my work on "24/7 Penguins-Capitals: Road to the NHL Winter Classic." I'm very comfortable shooting on a number of cameras including: Canon DSLR, AF-100 and FS700. I work daily in AVID Media Composer. I started as an intern with HBO Sports in 2009 and I was hired by the company full-time in 2011.

At NHL Network I was primarily in charge of tape for "NHL Live", a daily show geared towards the most important current events in hockey. Using Final Cut Pro, I edited packages that were used during the broadcast. I was also in charge of the live roll-ins during the show. I was part of the media management for the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs. I was hired as a freelancer in the Winter of 2011.
