Blayne was an Assistant Editor when I was cutting for BASE Productions. Later we worked at Ping Pong. Then at Nuvo. There might be more in between. In our industry, you understand you will have friends you can't recommend professionally. Not to mention respectable professional colleagues you will never have as outside friends. Blayne I came to respect professionally as our friendship grew. Starting out as Editor and Assistant Editor he is now someone I look to for inspiration and perspectives I haven't had before. I forget we were at different levels at one point. But he brings the work he had as an Assistant to his daily job as well as AFTER EFFECTS EXPERIENCE (got your attention there, didn't I?).
Overall, again, I couldn't recommend anyone more than him. I've put my name on his recommendation countless times and I will continue to as long as I'm asked.
....just make sure you don't feed him after midnight.
