I served as the bridge between creative and marketing, directing the production of branded content. Every stage of creative production, from strategy to concept to execution, began and ended in my hands. Wickr builds state-of-the-art technology and tools to safeguard the integrity and security of personal and business data in transit and at rest. The company's mission is to help organizations and individuals around the world ensure the privacy of their intellectual property and communications. I led Wickr through a major rebranding project, resulting in a new corporate brand, taglines, mission statement and core business values (note: launch scheduled for end of February 2016). I directed the company-wide implementation of the new brand, including products across all platforms. The engagement was rooted in design thinking and transformed both how the company presents itself to the world and also the way in which it conducts and thinks about its business. Creative direction highlights: • Produced and directed “Dangerous Big Kitty” music video, over 6,000,000 views. • Created reactive social media campaign in Australia that increased Wickr app downloads in the country by 700%. • Wrote, produced and directed "Wickr Encryption Layers" explainer animation video that succeeds in visually illustrating an opaque technology. • Directed wholesale redesign of company website shifting focus onto the Enterprise customer (note: public launch scheduled for February 15, 2016). • Produced Wickr app how-to videos, reducing customer support inquiries. • Pioneered and authored an internal blog engaging the entire company in the creative team's process.

I co-founded Super Sessions in 2014 and continue to serve as the organization's Creative Director. Super Sessions is the first and only project of its kind: a multi-media project that gives the world's most talented female big wave surfers the resources to capture and share their most memorable moments. In September 2014, with support from the Wickr Foundation, we sent thirteen big-wave surfing women a mysterious box with a GoPro and an iPad containing a video invitation from Super Sessions. They were asked to document their personal experiences as they prepared for and rode the biggest swells around the globe. From icy Ireland to France, California, South America and tropical Maui, these elite women embraced their unusual challenges and created something incredible. • Directed the production of 200+ videos with combined views of over 2,000,000 views. • Produced week-long event featuring live and recorded video streamed directly to fans. • Awarded $55,000 in endowments and awards to Super Sessions surfers.

I founded and operated Poppy's, the only beachside mobile food truck in the Bay Area. My wife and I designed all of the branding and graphics. We served exclusively local, seasonal and sustainable foods, specializing in Dungeness crab. I funded the business entirely through crowdsourcing and sold the business in October 2013.

I milked cows, wrangled pigs, dug holes and built fence. Lots of it. Fantastic part-time job. I still milk cows here in the early morning every couple of weeks to give the dairy owner a breather. Why? Because I like staying connected to my family's food source and the milk is delicious. Dairy cows are super interesting animals.

I co-founded this art collective with Eric Gibbons. This partnership has vastly expanded my understanding of the collaborative process. We collaborate in all media but with special interests in video, photography, painting and the performing arts. • We were awarded a four-week solo show on all four floors of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. • We have lectured and been visiting scholars at the university level. • We have and have not had concurrent mustaches and beards, but never goatees.

I have been directing and producing content of all types for almost two decades, with hands-on skill in every aspect of the production process: strategic development, ideation, copywriting, editing, sound design, directing and producing. I love the art of storytelling and have a talent for working with others to bring stories to visual life. • Shot and produced television documentaries for National Geographic Television after winning a Nat Geo international filmmakers contest. • Built an original video content division from scratch for a media company that is now one of the leading in-flight (airline) video content companies in the U.S. • Developed and sold a reality TV show concept, entitled "The Messengers", to TLC cable network and executive produced the prime time series. • Co-directed and co-produced “Wrestling with Satan", a documentary feature film that secured a distribution deal and is being sold in various commercial outlets.
