A dream of mine is to explore the many wonderful technical opportunities in the broadcasting industry as well as experiment with the on-air side of the field. But another of my quests in life is to make movies and attain creative control over them.

• Monitored 7 on-air signals and correct any discrepancies and outages with efficiency. • Structured news and traffic and automation playlists using program RapidPlayX2000. • Assured that programming begins and ends at proper times by adding/cutting commercial spots and work with Traffic department to resolve any issues. • Control live on-air switches, graphics, audio and transitions using switchboard. Operate during live sports events. • Counted directors in to live shots/shows and manually switch them to and from the air. • Transferred programming/commercial content into media base, process files and QC them for air. • Performed weekly maintenance on programs running 24/7 and send FCC required EAS alerts to air. • Trained new operators one-on-one. • Absorbed engineering knowledge while exposed in Master Control. • Shadowed editors, production, and transmissions weekly for extra training.

• Co-hosted SUNY Oswego’s top-rated show on WNYO, “4 Guys in a Booth,” a talk-show with diverse topics, consistent humor and planning. • Observed radio production on a professional level for the first time. • Operated industry standard radio equipment. • Required to take regular tests concerning FCC laws and regulations. • Planned, formatted and produced 2-3 hour long shows. • Trained and mentored potential radio hosts. • SUNY Oswego’s top-rated radio show at the time, which aired weekly and can be found on iTunes and Stitcher radio. The show received two awards at SUNY Oswego (known as “Ozzies”) for best talk-show in two consecutive years.
