• Oversee internal creative development, development deals, productions, and outsourced projects – this includes the development slate of unscripted content, from concept to series for distribution on multiple platforms for commercial audiences and media. • Work, collaborate, and manage the internal creative development team to execute the development of premium, limited, and documentary stories and content. • Managing a diverse, qualified, and passionate staff and keeping them on the cutting edge of all new trends, platforms, and technology. • Finding and pitching new talent or concepts on a weekly basis. • Manage and track the development slate – consisting of more than a dozen projects with large workloads. • Keep deep understanding of linear programming marketplace • Balance client, network contacts, and agency relationships. • Work in close collaboration with SVP and executive team on editorial priorities including series bibles, research stories, topics, staffing, schedules and communicating with network execs and agents. • Build and maintain professional relationships with networks and finding new IP • Act as liaison between audio and post departments for creative. • Act as creative lead during post-production on all projects. • Editing casting tapes and low-cost Sizzle Reels with Final Cut Pro and Avid. Developed The Legacy of Black Wall Street (OWN) and Rise Again: Tulsa and the Red Summer (Nat Geo), and other unannounced projects.
