Research and assess suitable locations, • Negotiate contracts and payments, and present findings to Producers • Arrange reconnaissance visits to assess the suitability of each location • Take descriptive photographs or video footage of each possible location • Confirm the availability of potential locations and determine the need for any relevant permissions, licenses and permits. • Identify any costs associated with the use of each location and ensure they are within budget. • Negotiate and confirm Location contracts with owners. • During shooting, oversee all logistical aspects of the location. • Prepare all movement Orders: directions & maps to locations • Identify production requirements for parking, traffic control, etc. • Draw up parking plans and temporary traffic restriction orders for each shoot. • Submit notices informing local residents of any shooting that will take place in their neighborhood. • Ensure that locations and property are not damaged during production or post production. • Set up safe and secure location bases for all vehicles, including camera trucks, generators, costume and make-up trucks and honeywagons (mobile toilets). • Ensure that all health and safety checks have been completed. • Ensure that the location is left in a clean and tidy condition.

While working at KCET as an Associate Producer I was responsible for assigned fundraising shows as well as Producing Fine Cut, KCET’s Annual Film Festival for 2009, 2010 and 2011. During my employment my responsibilities included coordinating on-air guests, preparing project related scripts and documentation, research, searching for and securing footage and imagery, line producing prepared packages and ingesting final material to use in LIVE and Pre-tape Productions.
