This is the second time I have worked with CJ. He worked on a project I directed three years ago. The shooting condition was highly challenging. We were stuck in a storm at a dry lake that was becoming a swamp at any minute. CJ was always the calmest ...MORE...
one. He is patient and resourceful but also capable of solving problems quickly. He managed 20 crew to wrap everything in 15 minutes and escape the swamp before being swallowed up. I was impressed and I recommend him to my producer friend.
CJ is hired as a production coordinator this time. Again he impressed everybody on set by being a hard worker and generous person. He gives his time and patience to anyone who needs help. This project is part of the Spotlight Program which is sponsored by McDonald’s. The budget is 100k and the shooting is one of the most complicated I've ever participated in. The filming involves a huge haunted mansion, a 140-year-old victorian mansion museum, a crane, a 15 ft scissors, three rain machines, alive skunks, an overnight shoot with over 30 crew, and we only have three days to film. CJ was in every step of the way. Thank to all the years he worked as a restaurant manager, he knows how to get things done, and most importantly, he knows how to communicate with people. Communication is an invaluable ability on a film set. CJ has it and he's ready to do greater things on a bigger platform.
I highly recommend CJ to anyone who wants their project to have a heart and their set to be a more enjoyable place to work at.
