***As a researcher*** - Located funny and trendy internet videos, preferably already in popular YouTube compilations, with the goal of obtaining exclusive rights so Launchpad Entertainment could run ads underneath and also disseminate videos from LPE's library to TV shows. - Locating and starting a dialogue with clip's original owner (Sometimes this meant researching colleagues, family members, and friends to put us in touch with the content creator), getting the licensing history, and taking strict notes about their contact information, nationality, social media accounts, details of our conversations, etc. IN SHORT researchers were to get the video owner to agree to hear an offer from the negotiations department, and then make a smooth handoff to the negotiator department. - All information was kept track via a proprietary setup of FileMaker ****As Head of Research**** - Offered a raise and promotion twice within 3 months - one after my first week, the second was to the Head of the Research Department. - Tasked to write the handbook/researcher protocol, train researchers, distribute assignments (clips to look for), create weekly performance reports. - The protocol always reflected the latest changes, memos, and instructions in an online document so it was always available for reference. There was heavy focus on how to best enter information into FileMaker to save the company time and money. I worked closely with the IT person to improve database entry. (Shortly after being promoted, our source numbers hit an all time high, an improvement of over 300%.) - Met with the boss and VP on a consistent basis, gave security advice and helped with technical support. Also wrote a few dozen customizable "scripts" and tactics for researchers and other employees tasked to potential licensees. Please refer to resume for more information.
