Michael Piascik

Working within an Avid-based post production workflow, my responsibilities range from ingesting and transcoding media, to onlining and delivering final cuts to internal and network executives. As one of a team of two AEs in Development, we work directly with a growing number of companies to meet upwards of 60 projects' needs. I am also well-versed in cutting casting reels for pitches to the network and adapting quickly to new softwares and workflows, stretching even to Adobe InDesign to create decks for Development Consultants.

Collect and offload tape and tapeless media from Lead Night AC, totaling 50+ cameras and over 8TB of footage per night. Create double backups to send via shuttle drives from GA to LA. Assist in troubleshooting technical issues.

Assist in media management across several shows for all companies falling under the Leftfield Pictures umbrella. Responsibilities include offloading, ingesting, conforming, and transcoding of footage as necessary, as well as syncing and grouping scenes for editors. Additionally, I assist in the online process via "upressing" footage, exporting cuts for internal and network review, and delivering final episodes to the appropriate outlets.

Report to Post Production Coordinator and Supervisor for daily duties on multiple shows. Facilitate communication between on-set and office production and post-production departments. Assist Loaders and Assistant Editors in media management and transcode responsibilities.

Converted security camera footage and edited two-hour forensic video for use in industrial legal action associated with a fire incident at Dahowa Hydro.

Edited guided tour video for website of local non-profit "American Meditation Institute."

Responsible for editing 5 commercials for local Chevrolet branch to be broadcast throughout New York's Capital Region.

Camera/Glidecam Operator on two-day shoot for corporate branding video for St. Lawrence University, and one-day shoot for personality profile video of a former reality TV show contestant.
