I'm very excited to have founded Austin's first dedicated SciFi Film Festival. As Director of Programming for Austin Film Festival 2012-2014, I saw many SciFi films that were submitted, but could not be included in the final selection. Also, I love the programming at Fantastic Fest, but by representing so many genres, I know they can’t focus on science fiction. In addition, most of the films playing Fantastic Fest tend to be premieres or big-budget studio films. There are a ton of SciFi films out there, maybe they’ve played another festival, maybe they are a bit more indie, but right now those films have nowhere to play in Austin. I wanted to create an outlet for those films. As the founder of Other Worlds Austin, I've decided our mission, designed our website, and hand-selected my team of film enthusiasts, many of whom I've worked with over the last few years at AFF. Other Worlds Austin is dedicated to bringing the best in SciFi to Austin, TX. Our programming team looks past budgets or the Hollywood push to find great stories, and give them their Austin premiere, the 'geek' capital of the world. Our first festival brought together 11 features, all Texas premieres, 3 of them US premieres, 1 world premiere, as well as three programs of amazing shorts. The 2015 festival will be December 3-5 at the Galaxy Highland Theatre

In addition to coordinating the thousands of submissions in the film competition, I selected about 80% of all the films that play at the festival, in addition to collaborating on year-round programming and marketing of the films.

Wrote, directed the feature length film, as well as co-produced and served in many various capacities over the production and post-production (2nd Unit Camera, Titles Design, Lyricist)

I read scripts and provided coverage for a variety of producers and script writing services.

Assistant Directed (or co-directed) many plays with the talented Guy Roberts (and at the State Theatre before) including Taming of the Shrew, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, and the Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged.
