Kaleigh Michael Saunders

Founded in January 2003 by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, di Bonaventura Pictures is a Los Angeles-based film production company known for its Transformer films. As a development intern, it is my job to research films and pilots, deciding whether or not they should be developed into features. I am also in charge of the front desk, managing phone calls and meetings. When assistants are unavailable I cover, assisting their specific producers with daily tasks. Script coverage and edits are among my other duties at the office.

Known for his films, GREASE and BLUE LAGOON, Randal Kleiser is a talented director/writer located in Los Angeles, California. As his intern, I am responsible for reading scripts and writing coverage which I discuss with Randal himself. I also assist with proofreading and editing, including scripts and television shows. In addition, I help with film editing, which currently is for Mr. Kleiser's documentary. And, I am working on pre/post production for a new television show called DEFROST.

As a writer on Randal Kleiser's new television show DEFROST, I was responsible for assisting with all twelve episodes. I also helped edit the episodes that Randal originally wrote, suggesting my own ideas and adding details.

Silver Pictures Productions is a production company located in Santa Monica, California, started by Joel Silver. As an intern, I am responsible for many different tasks throughout the day. I manage the front desk, answer phone calls, and greet guests. All of these tasks individually are important, and together they are assistant training. In addition, I read possible screenplays and pilots, as well as write coverage to discuss with producers. Lastly, I assist with general office tasks on a day to day basis.

The Vermont Lake Monsters are a minor league baseball team affiliated with The Oakland A's. At the ball park I work hands on with the manager, players, and fans. I am in charge of the mascot which involves walking him around, talking to/taking pictures of fans, and making sure the mascot enters and exits in a timely fashion. I also pick up extra jobs when necessary. Recently I was promoted to marketing and promotions intern. This job entails working with staff/fans on the field, running mid-inning activities, and prepping for each game.

I was the teacher assistant for two Mediated Communications classes at High Point University. This involved assisting students outside of the classroom with projects using InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere.

WFMY News 2 is a North Carolina local news station located in Greensboro. It is a Gannett company partnered with CBS. At the station, I am in charge of operating the cameras for the 5,5:30,6, and 11 News. Before each show I am responsible for turning on the lights in the News Room, Weather Garden, and Studio. I am also responsible for positioning, focusing, and white balancing all twelve of the studio cameras. During the live show I am in charge of operating 12 cameras and different light changes. When not working on a live taping, I edit the New and Now segment that airs at the beginning of the 11pm show.

At The Mill Market and Deli I am responsible for running the deli which involves setting up in the morning, baking breads and preparing salads/sandwiches, and running the cash register. I also have experience stocking products and cleaning.
