Assistant Editor on 'A Crime to Remember' Season 4 As an assistant editor with Xcon Productions, the most exciting practice was cutting short scenes to add to international versions of episodes. During Season 4, I made exports for the network and exported AAFS. I also ingested and organized footage in Avid for Season 5.

I ingested incoming footage and made selects for the editor. The event featured four cameras, which I organized as they came in.

The performance is titled ‘Killing Time’ and involves a chamber orchestra, vocals, and modulated sounds of live knitters. The editing process meant organizing mastered sound, live concert audio, and interviews.

As an assistant editor, I set up projects and ingested media. During a season I grouped footage, cut short scenes, and exported cuts to network. I edited short forms, sizzle, reels, and exclusive web content for television shows. At the end of a show's season, I organized network deliverables and backed up media. I frequently used Lightroom to process timelapses and MPEG Streamclip to export drone footage.

In 2015, I worked as an assistant editor on the feature-length documentary Why Not Home. In particular, I helped edit the film’s trailer and sync interview footage.

Insurgent Media broadened my knowledge of post-production and bookkeeping at an independent film company. As a production assistant, I helped transport and set up equipment. My main projects were transcribing interviews and finding archival footage for two documentaries: Mission Blue (2014) and Before the Spring, After the Fall (2014).
