Manage fundraising, outreach, and marketing, apply for grants, reach out to partner organizations, individual donors and investors, run crowdfunding campaign, manage all social media, submit to festivals. Advise on story development.

Working closely with the director and producer to plan and execute dozens of shoots around the world for this documentary feature film. Helping determine the topics, locations, and subjects of shoots, then working through the logistics. Hiring filmmakers, organizing casting, writing interview questions, coordinating between different departments from pre through post production.

I produced this 16 minute documentary for VICE, based on an article I wrote, also for VICE, that went viral. I planned, coordinated, and directed the shoots, and directed the edit. I worked with a small crew to see the story through all phases of production. Nearly 2.5 million views.

Oversaw all logistics throughout pre-production and production including hiring crew, renting gear, securing and managing locations, coordinating travel, lodging, local transportation and food for cast and crew, and media outreach. Jury prizes at Atlanta and Sarasota Film Fests, official selection at Los Angeles Film Fest.

Assisting the producer to hire and coordinate with crew, managing logistics during shoots to ensure they ran smoothly and on schedule. Also handling locations responsibilities, and assisting all departments as necessary as we worked with a fairly small crew at most times. Premiered at Rotterdam Film Festival.

I worked with two-time Oscar nominated Director Marshall Curry doing everything from assistant editing to assisting the Producer with funding the film. I pulled selects, wrote grants, applied for funding meetings, searched for archival material and worked on archival licensing, transcribed interviews, and prepared gear for shoots, among other duties.
