Driving and general set PA duties.

I was asked to come on for 2 days of driving crew and talent to and from hotel and venue.

I oversaw five Cultural Arts Centers under the City of Austin’s History, Arts and Nature Division, working with clients and renters on a daily basis. I am responsible for the purchasing, maintenance and operations of an array of theatrical equipment, including lighting, sound and projection.

I function as the Technical Director/Talent Management for the largest New Years celebration in the Central time zone. I am responsible for the transport, hospitality and wrangling of the artists, in addition to technical communications with the WFAA new station regarding the accurate timing during the live, syndicated broadcast.

My specific duties varied including tasks such as overseeing load-in and out for the production team, going on field shoots to assist where needed, running video files to the editing bays and assisting with making copies and the distribution of the numbers, scripts and rundowns for the day.

Managed the venue “Textile”. Was responsible for all communications, advancing and technical needs of performing artists. Began contact with artists 2 months in advance. I was the lead on set changes, crowd control, security staffing, venue code management and safety, vehicle permits and general operations during the 4 days of events.
