Laura Nitz

I filmed opening exhibition events, interviews, and b-roll of Harlem. I set up interviews with artists and curators including two cameras, basic lighting and sound via zoom and lavs. I also conducted the interviews

I was hired by the New School to travel to Lesvos, Greece to film student researchers in the field. I also conducted interviews of students, local law officials and refugees. I coordinated all interviews, equipment and assisted with editing a 15 minute short documentary on this project.

I worked in the computer art, computer animation and VFX department at SVA for 5 years. During this time I assisted students in producing hundereds of thesis films. I was the main point of contact for their films after complete, where I worked to get their films into festivals around the world. We have gotten short films into over 350 festivals in 50+ countries including SXSW, BFI, The American Pavilion at Cannes, The Student Emmys, The Student Academy Awards, The Art Directors Club, and many more.

I worked closely with the talent and the costume designer during the set. I did camera checks on set and dressed talent.

I worked with the Wild Honey Pie on numerous video shoots as costume design, production designer and producer.
