Book cast/guests to appear on weekly episodes; screen and interview guests to guarantee Dr. Phil’s understanding of the situation; coordinate guest’s travel and accommodations in LA while coordinating production elements relative to each episode. Post-show, make arrangements for any guests who choose to accept resources from The Dr. Phil Show. Research topics relevant to episode, providing multiple resources with different perspectives of each topic. Manage viewer emails & generate website posts to search for potential guests. Develop (collect, draft, and format) episodic Show Materials to be delivered to all production departments. Responsible for requesting, organizing & submitting each episode’s approved expenses. Active Liaison between Production Team & all departments pertaining to The Dr. Phil Show. Ensure all media content & episode appearances are licensed for use on the show; handle all promotional consideration agreements. Coordinate taping schedules with Segment Director/Field Producers, organize and deliver footage, and aid in shoots when necessary. Coordinate episodic wardrobe, accommodations, aid producers during taping. Train incoming researchers, production assistants, and interns to do respective tasks. Label and distribute all footage & media from various tape formats, and maintain organization for the housing of such media in the Tape Vault used for The Dr. Phil Show and The Doctors. Organize tape formats & categories to house in Tape Vault. Coordinate incoming & outgoing tapes to their respective destinations. Aid all members of production with tape requests. Enter new tape elements into archive system (File Maker Pro - Media DB); label new field tape, show reels & other show elements; box tapes & create logs for offsite storage. Inform production teams & pst department of new show elements to process; supply tape stock to field & studio shoots. Deliver completed episodes to CBs Corporation for televised air.

The production process of The Dr. Phil Show & The Doctors rely heavily on timely delivery of transcriptions in order to piece episodes together. The Transcription Department contained a set of seasoned transcriptionists to deliver a 24-hour guarantee that all clips will be transcribed within the hour. Transcribe clips & interviews from The Dr. Phil Show & The Doctors verbatim in order of priority at 80 WPM. Deliver transcriptions in a timely manner, not proceeding one hour, to Segment Producers for use in tape pieces for show. Maintain communication between transcriptionist to assure timely delivery.
