Shoot and edit broadcast quality video and audio for nightly newscasts and the sta- tion website. Maintain company issued equipment that consists of a professional grade video camera, tripod, light kit, microphones, cables/accessories, and a com- pany owned vehicle. Responsibilities also include; establishing microwave signals, using Electronic News Gathering (ENG) vehicles in order to broadcast live from the news scene.

Serving in a part-time capacity, duties include initializing studio environment for nightly newscasts. This entails placing wireless lavalier microphones for talent throughout the various locations within the studio that they will be stationed. Maintaining functional lamps for the desired lighting moods. Arrange props and monitors for each segment of the newscast. Distribute scripts to producers and directors. Operate and create on-air graphics for weekend newscasts.

As part of a marketing committee for the university, my duties consisted of gathering digital media which includes video, photography, graphics, and other elements that will be used to promote Colorado State University-Pueblo’s brand to potential students, parents, and supporters within the state of Colorado and beyond.
