Camera Operator (FX9 and FX6) Interrogation Room (Season 1)

ABC — TV — ABC News Details
10/23 – 10/23

Shot B Camera on an episode of an upcoming true crime series from ABC in Idaho. Worked with the DP to block, light and capture a two camera interview in practical real world locations. Real locations require working hard to maintain a small, organized and clean footprint. Utilized specific techniques to light both a wide profile and tight eyeline simultaneously. Collaborated with the Director and DP to generate ideas for b-roll that conveys the story we are learning about in real time. Shot recreations of certain key moments from the story, lighting multiple setups in police stations quickly and efficiently moving our characters in and out of scenes with minimal disruption to the other people working in this office. Operated an FX6 on a Ronin 3 gimbal to capture characters moving through space and bring viewers into their pov. FX9 with 2 FX6 with custom vintage Nikkor glass.

YouTube — Digital — Freethink Media Details

Led a three person camera team to block, light and shoot an episode of Hard Reset consisting of an interview with authors of a new book on humans living on Mars. Worked with a local director and producer to scout and choose the location for the main interview taking into account controllable and uncontrollable variables based on the size of crew we had. Worked with the Director to light the space and subject and overcome specific challenges unique to shooting both a wide and tight camera angle simultaneously in a real location. Captured clean plates of the space for VFX work to remove boom microphone and adjust windows to consistent time of day if needed. Two Red cameras (Monstro and Gemini) along with Sigma Cine Primes.
