Queen Boss is a competition reality show for African American female entrepreneurs. It is formatted in a pitch, deliberation, challenge and elimination format. The Pitch, deliberation, and elimination all happened in the "board room" which was a 900 square foot set. I was a carpenter during the set build, then once the set was up, I was the art director for the remainder of the show. I lead a team of 3 to handle all the art needs going forward until wrap. The art needs were: setting up the pitch presentations for the entrepreneurs, and getting all of the art needs in line for the challenges.

Lead the build of the main set, a huge, old nyc type loft apartment. We had to build up to the ceiling which was 14ft high with lower hanging pipes spanning the entire space. we had to custom build top caps of the flats to contend with the pipes, columns in the space, and the extremely unlevel ceiling and floor.

Designed, budgeted, decorated, and propped with limited prep time.

Designed, budgeted, and lead a team of three to build the big white cardboard dome set under budget and time restrictions.

POPE is a docudrama series that goes behind the doors of the papacy over the centuries. I procured all things are department and wardrobe for The POPE pilot within my given budget. This includes all props, set dec and dress, and wardrobe. I made this all work with a team of only one other person.

Helped build the set, drove box trucks through New York City and New Jersey, facilitated pick up and drop offs of everything needed for art, fabricated props and set pieces, worked under a lot of pressure.

Assisting PD and on set props master with everything art realted. Sourcing picture cars. Building sets. Making props. Being on set handling art when crew is split or when PD or on set props can't be present. Keeping the art truck organized.

Night crew- built sets and had them ready for the next morning when the crew would arrive for shooting. We had to be extremely resourceful and constantly use what sets, set pieces, flats, paint, set dress and set dec that we already had to make new environments nightly.

3 episode pilot. Became f-60 fireguard certified so that we could legally have hot-work (welding, plasma cutting, torch operations) going on as per nyc constuction safety regulations. Facilitated payment and arrival of a plane and ferris wheel to our shooting location for deconstruction and upcycling by our cast of designer/fabricators.

Headed a two person art department. Prop fabrication, set dress, wardrobe, light SFX makeup.

Assisted in loading, unloading, and assembling set pieces. Constructed flats. Unpacked and organized set dec. Helped dress set. Kept art dept. area clean and organized.

Minor construction and room flipping so they appeared to be different places

Made props such as large scale food objects, a plane that tipped from side to side to simulate it being flown by puppets, a city scape with individually crafted buildings. Worked with insulation foam, mdf, foamboard, plywood, paint (spray, acrylic, latex, air brush), clay, repurposed objects to name a few.

Worked as the art director’s right hand. Delegated tasks to PAs during the season finale/wrap out as the art department coordinator. Helped redesign the look of the show. Dressed themed challenge sets and rolling presentation desert carts.

Fabricated different props such as mini ladders, carrots to be used as Viking horns, paint pallet with fake paint globs, potato chips, wacky instruments, an alien head, platform shoes for kids, and magic wands that snap at the flick of a wrist using a variety of different materials.
