Matt Pagourgis

This is a small crew so I do a little bit of everything. Field and Post producing. Keeping in contact with the builders and planning out the shoots, in-scene field work, creating string outs in AVID, writing interview questions, etc.

Worked as a segment producer and as Story AP helping Story Producers and editors by putting together string outs and pulling bites in AVID.

Created string outs for the Executive Producer, Story Producers, and Editors to work with. Pulled bites and clips for Story Producers. In AVID Media Composer

Locked and pre-interviewed multiple sushi chefs in the Los Angeles area. Pitched said chefs to VICE. Scheduled and coordinated a two day shoot in multiple locations on a shoestring budget.

Assisted producers with writing and planning multiple episodes. Worked with the post team pulling cleared material for edit. Pitched segment ideas and casted potential (non-celebrity) guests.

I scouted and locked down locations and trade outs with the segment team and trade out producers. On event days I segment produced the trade out logo signage, verbal mentions, etc. to ensure we met our requirements with the vendor contracts. I also created a lot of GFX printed materials for the event team in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premier.

I was a day player. Basically I parked the talents cars in an adjacent lot.

Assisted the showrunner in the preparation of each shoot day, occasionally shooting B-Roll when needed on non-shoot days to get building progress. I also wrote the field logs, transcribed OTF'S, and did string-outs for the Story Producer (on AVID).

I assisted with the pre-production and casting of potential candidates for "Crates" a webseries on PetCentric's YouTube channel.

I developed string outs for each episode, assisted in writing VO, and pulled reactions shots and sound bites for the editors. All work was done on Final Cut 7

Created original content and implemented a strategy to advertise Wheels on it's YouTube channel by developing a digital marketing campaign involving YouTube, blog posts, and other social media platforms.

-Produced videos for BuzzFeed’s YouTube channels from start to finish, creating on average a video a week. -Helped write for BuzzFeed’s “Creep” series along with many other one off videos. -Created posts and thumbnails for BuzzFeed’s website to accompany all videos produced.

- Filmed, Edited, Produced and wrote scripts and lyrics for original content. - Wrote and produced a Fremantle / StyleHaul talk show, The Crew. - Assistant Stage Manager for a Live Awards show, the Friskies. - Created blogs and a website to promote videos. - Obtained personal and location releases for shoots.

- Created daily call sheets and production schedules. - Oversaw and delegated the tasks of all PAs - Ensured the production schedule was kept on time. - Direct liaison between, producers, talent, and crew. - Being a small production I also did grip work, worked as a gaffer, and set design

Worked as assistant camera and helped interview Evgeny Gradovich for a Russia 2 news piece.

- Filmed B Roll footage for an MTV pilot, Connected. - Direct liaison between the cast and the showrunner. - Logged footage for string-outs.
