Freelancing as Set Production Assistant assisting the Director.

Worked the last day of shooting and the one-day of wrap on the film Armed (2017) directed by Mario Van Peebles. I put together sides for the actors, helped the Production Designer assemble a tent and add his designs to it, helped move gear, and made sure everyone was hydrated. During wrap I helped carry the remaining gear (c-stands, lights, tripods, lighting stands, stingers) up 4 flights of stairs to be loaded back onto the truck.

Location scouted for the sole location and found a church to shoot in for $500 flat for 3 days, dealt with location permits, organized facility time for ADR work, found professional sound designers for post-production, and kept post-production running smoothly and on schedule.

Wrote the film, organized the castings and additional rehearsals with the actors, directed, put together the shot list along with the look book displaying specific shots needed and lighting design, performed producing duties location scouting along with negotiating rates.

Found and coordinated for a cop car to be transported from Sun Valley to Long Beach for a 1 day shoot for $350 flat that included transport from Sun Valley to Long Beach. Secured location permits to shoot in the city of Long Beach.

Negotiated production deals (carnival costs, interpreter fees, special vehicle fees, audition space, hotel). Scouted and secured shooting locations for the railroad museum and high school, organized production meetings, scouted crewmembers, equipment, and lodging for the cast and crew. Assisted with team tasks such as costume design and coordinating auditions.
