Rachel Shope

During my time at High Noon, I researched topics for new TV series ideas. I compiled lists of themes, locations, and ideal characters for potential shows. In the latter portion of my internship, I worked as a Production Assistant on season two of Guinness World Records: Unleashed.

My main responsibility was writing coverage. Over the course of my internship, I covered features, TV episodes, and novels. I had the opportunity to discuss my coverage with the Creative Executives and their assistants.

I collaborated with other writers to outline the season's narrative structure and wrote scenes for individual episodes.

My play "Vinegar Syndrome" was featured in UNC's second annual Long Story Shorts festival, in which six original works are selected from the graduating class and performed on campus. I worked closely with my director on rewrites and rehearsals from the first draft through the final show.

I coordinated the schedules of the playwrights, actors, directors, and crew for rehearsals and general meetings. I also worked closely with the festival director to secure the location for the performances and to publicize the event.
