Senior location producer on a fast-turnaround BBC Panorama about the murder of George Floyd, a murder which sparked protests around the world and caused America to look at how its police forces operate. I worked on the ground with a small team in Minneapolis, sourcing and conducting interviews with eye witnesses and key contributors and filming actuality, whilst maintaining close contact with the UK based team.

Field producer following the on-going construction of a new viaduct. Working with a small crew I directed the actuality and conducted interviews, ensuring the processes were easy for viewers to understand, whilst also keeping an eye on story and overseeing crew safety.

I liaised with multiple state agencies, negotiating fast turnaround access to film in various disaster zones, embedding with the teams tackling wildfires across California. I managed a small crew and oversaw all aspects of the location shoots.

We followed a sensitive emerging story with a contributor who'd undergone a groundbreaking and life-changing surgery. The shoots involved knowing when to film and when to wait. I managed multiple contributors and dealt with all aspects of the shoots, problem solving and making decisions as needed. I worked with a small crew and handled all of the usual documentary field producer duties such as arranging access, obtaining releases and managing the contributors' expectations.

My skills lie in locating and contacting potential contributors, meeting with them and deciding if the series is the right place to tell their stories; within days successful meetings had been arranged with several major participants. Both stories are complicated and nuanced with many layers. Using my journalistic research acumen I quickly understood both cases, disseminating the details to the development team, steering them in terms of accuracy and ethics and pointing out alternate narratives and themes.
