This was a very close collaboration with the director. She didn't have the story together yet when she hired me. I tapped into my diverse skill set in helping her discover her vision. My biggest contributions in the earlier stages was a lot of writing to build the stories for each character. than a lot more writing to bring these stories together and tell them in conjuction with a journey to the top of Mt. Kilamanjaro and down into the Dead Sea. Another major contribution was to see that we didn't have enough material to make the movie the director wanted. I suggested that we acquire additional footage from a videographer on the hikes who was initially unafiliated with our shoot. And this footage made it possible to tell the story of the arduous journey as a backdrop to the players more personal stories.
