Edited and produced the 4th Episode of The Zainab Salbi Project for AOL Studios/Huffington Post. The episode I worked on, Looking for Hope in Iraq, is part 4 of a 6 part docu-series centered on the journey of Zainab Salbi 'to shatter media stereotypes and promote a greater understanding'. The project was unscripted and the position involved sorting through the interview and b-roll footage, finding the right music, and working with the Producers and Zainab to craft the story. This episode told a more personal story than the others and intertwined Zainab's emotional history returning home to a war torn country with interviews of fellow Iraqi's in different parts of the country to document their experience of life in Iraq following the U.S. led invasion and current ISIS occupation. Edited and produced the project thru to delivery on AOL/Huffington Post. AOL/Huffington Post - The Zainab Salbi Project - Looking for Hope in Iraq. Zainab takes a personal journey home to Iraq to document what life is like for Iraqis following the US led invasion and ISIS occupation. She shares her emotional and traumatic history as she travels around her home country, interviewing fellow Iraqis about their experience living in a constant state of fear. Produced & Edited the music documentary Beautiful Noise, released in May 2014. Worked on this film intermittently for 9 years as it went through the various stages of fundraising, production, post production, music and footage licensing, distribution, and release.
