Yu-Gi-Oh! GX was an animated show from Japan. Since American kids don't like subtitles, they had us rewrite the scripts so that they a) made sense b) featured jokes that made sense in English and c) that completely new dialogue had to fit the "lip movements" of the already-animated show.
