Directed and Interviewed nurses who run a mobile cancer screening unit around Baton Rouge. Was responsible for conducting the interview with the client present. Set up the lighting for the interviews as well working with the cinematographer. We were using my gear.

Was responsible for lighting and directing a two camera interview shoot at the Whitney Plantation and creating various setups in a hotel room space for 12 interviews over the course of 4 days. Easy Rig was used for B-Roll.

Artist film in unique aspect ratio, shot underwater, that explores the Black American film archive as it relates to water, drawing upon the spirituality and significance of West African cosmograms. Made in collaboration with painter/director Ruth Owens.

Design, construct and repair spaces, furniture and props. Since 2018, notable projects have been to design a secret door, a props workshop and control room for monitoring. As a high-traffic entertainment space, props get broken if not made well. I have gotten the reputation for constructing solidly and accurately for fewer future repairs.

For a total period of 6 months in 2014 and 2015, our American crew shot in Ukraine for a documentary still in production about the current crisis. I arranged for over 80 on-location interviews and shoots, assisting with releases, set-up and shooting. Co-authoring the concept and being the Russian-speaking liaison for our project, I was also responsible for diplomatically resolving any conflicts which arose.

Wrote a 4-year vision and policy for Motel Spatie Artist in Residence, based in the neighbourhood of Presikhaaf, Arnhem, as part of a "reflection" residency. Motel Spatie produces new artwork for city contexts. The policy helped Motel Spatie win a 4-year operational grant from the city of Arnhem, the only cultural organization in the city to gain such support. Continued as project organizer for art projects in Moscow. Assistant shot (A7s), edited and co-produced this 35-minute video about the work of plastic surgeon Dr. Ofodile. Found archival footage. Sewed and manufactured the black backdrop.

Wrote and directed short branded-content educational documentary for textile conservator Julia Brennan. It features the conservation process for an antique Thai fan. In showing the conservator's relationship with it, I reached for several levels of engagement and interpretation for a viewer about its significance.

One-day shoot. Primary responsibility was as a driver for the crew and main character, who has a cart that he pushes while he walks around the world. The crew chose the location I suggested to shoot one of the scenes.

Helped to develop a strategic plan for the Innovative Houses of Culture project (Kaluga, Russia) – a future socio-cultural art center in Kaluga. My role was to survey worldwide cultural and art centers involved with their communities. Additionally I collected surveys and interviewed attendants and participants of the proposed center's test-run arts program "The Cosmos of Culture."

I conducted interviews, acted as a liaison and translated Russian-English, assisted technically in filming and recording sound, assisted with developing the concept, and wrote the documentary piece for Club Donny Magazine, which featured the project. The result of the process was a film of the view from the river, subtitled with quotes from local residents. Construction, mending, laundering, and inventory of authentic reproduction of 16th and 18th century clothing utilized by the interpretive areas and exhibits of Jamestown Settlement and Yorktown Victory Center. Aided in setting up The World of 1607 exhibit for the Quadricentennial celebration of the landing at Jamestown in 1607.

WWOOF is a volunteer organization that allows travelers interested in organic farming to live and work worldwide in exchange for room and board.
