In a dystopian world where music is outlawed, an 11 year old girl is given the job of finding those who listen to music and turning them over to the police. However, when she listens to music for the very first time, she is forced to choose between following the rules and following her heart. This film touches on themes such as being yourself in a world where you don't belong and standing up for what you believe in.
This film is currently in post-production and will be submitted to film festivals upon its completion.
We shot the film on location in the Outer Banks of North Carolina at famous sites such as the Elizabethan Gardens and Jockey's Ridge Sand Dunes (the larges sand dunes on the east coast).
I served as writer, director, and producer, raising over $13,000 in funds via Kickstarter. I also assembled a cast, crew, and extras of over 40 people who hailed from all across the east coast, coordinated lodging and travel accommodations, scheduled shooting days that worked around child actor restrictions, and designed the look and color palate for the film.
