Virgile Beddok

I produce and record (multi-camera) the concerts of the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, biggest Jazz institution in New Orleans. I edit the concerts, and edit promotional videos for the company as well.

I edited and color corrected the thesis film (narrative short) of a University of New Orleans Graduate Film student. I also supervised the whole post-production process with sound-post and VFX.

I produced, hosted and edited a 52 minute pilot for a TV Show which spotlights a New Orleans musician in 4 different ways: a bio documentary, a 15 minute interview, a 5 minute solo and a 15 minute masterclass with a student band. The show is ready to be sold and broadcast on public television.

I was granted a graduate assistantship to be an editing instructor and 3D modeling instructor during the time of my Master's Degree at the University of New Orleans. The editing classes were taught on Avid, and 3D classes were taught on Maya 3D.

I edited a promotional video, 4 songs, for the James Singleton String Quartet. It was part of the marketing package of the "Gold Bug Crawl" Album

I produced, directed and edited (Adobe Premiere) a feature-length documentary, New Orleans Music Renaissance, about the post-Katrina music scene in New Orleans in 2007. The film later was sold and broadcast on the French TV Channel MEZZO in March 2009.
